Game 1

Players

Akalamanaia
Purno
Born Acorn

This game began in 1965, and started with Purno Starting an inter-town passenger route, Me building an expensive coal route, and Akalmanaia going straight into Wood and paper. Akalamanaia was the richest from the start making much more money than Purno or me, when I hit money problems and having to take out a loan, however, soon however my coal route earned a regular amount of money, allowing me to expand it out South East to another dual coal mine. On the way there were two other coal mines which were hooked up as well. Now I was making much more money than anyone else, I had at least 500,000 in the bank at anytime, allowing me to quickly pay back my loan and get to the lead on the leader board. I had more vehicles than anyone else. Unfortuantely I had dried my entire area of any coal mines whitout haivng to expand too far. So instead I went to the plains of the east and found two dual farms, but Akalmanaia took the other one while I was woring on this one, but I had no problem with it as there were much much more farms to the north. I told Akalamanaia to go to the south, and deliver to the same food processing plant, here two airports would be built and we can export the food to numerous cities and make them grow into metropolises. This would allow us to gain a monopoly on fod and passenger routes between the metropolises and ultimately get to 2050 and win. I expanded to the north very quickly, while Akalmanaia was focusing on his paper route first. Then he got into the farms too, and we brought food to the food processing plant, I started up a mini coal route too with terraforming help from Akalamanaia. I opened my first airports and started to export to the largest city on the map at the time. Akalamanaia built a building grid from roads to help the city grow quicker. Unfortunately this doesn't really happen until later, of which will come later. The town did not fill it fast because the town was only serviced by valuables and food, which provoked mainly skyscrapers and commercial buildings. Meanwhile Purno had lost connection, and we were not to see him again, we were expanding our farm networks as far as we could, Akalamanaia helping me out with terraforming. Akalamanaia decided to Isolate a single town, and redesign it to be a perfect town an adjoining Industrial sector. This worked well and as both me and Akalamanaia paid attention to it for a while, I concentrated on my own assets. In 1980 and 90, I updated the airports to the more efficient ones, allowing more planes to land and take off more quickly at Leningwirth Food Processing to the two towns they were taking them to. Unfortuantely because the Boing 747 does not hold much food in OTTD or TTD, my rating was lowered, so what I did is join some towns that accept food by rail and start up a food rail line. Meanwhile Akalamanaia had finished the industrial sector and the town, now renamed to Fort Baulder. By now I am earning 2million pounds per year, and I have no network problems at all, but want to make more money still. HoweverI decide not to as it might lower my rating thorugh money loss at first, and I do not want to lose my market lead. At the time of writing this Akalamanaia has filled the yards with various trains and wagons, and named them, now, Akalamanaia had started bus routes in Little Putown and it had expanded rapidly in the housing sector as well as skyscrapers and commercial knick-knacks.

to be continued....

Game 2

Players

Akalamanaia
Born Acorn

I like this game a lot and it my favourite so far. The reasons are that there are only two players and it is a big map. Also I remain in the lead the whole time ;). It begins with me starting an oil route from a few Oil Derricks to a single Terminus next to a Oil refinery near Banwell, but as I expanded to much too fast I ran into money troubles and had to wait a long while before buying trains fro the rest of the stations. However this made money fast and put me ahead. Meanwhile Akalamanaia had started a Rubber route, with adjoining fruit train and passengers. Although a very small network, it was always jamming and Akalamanaia had to keep ignoring signals, although this later caused a crash between to rubber trains. :S Next I started a goods route to the south, taking mass goods to the small town of Nadworth, which kept not accepting goods. Akalamanaia opened his second small network here, transporting passengers and again, fruit. Nadworth was going to be a big city someday, a steady influx of goods, and passengers too. At this time I opened a new line to a factory and some coppermines in the west. It made more profit while I expanded rapidly and massively southwards to the large amounts of Oil. There were enough Oil here to make me into a multimillion business. SO it was worth the risk, using all Centennials, I hauled mass oil to the terminus, making a lot more than before. With this I funded a food processing plant and imported fruit by pane and train and ahuled the food via train to Nadworth. Nadworth now had grown a lot and was now accepting goods nonstop and growing, not decreasing in size. Now Akalamanaia had his sights on a Farm in the jungle. It would be a massive investment but he could also use the industries on the way. It was completed with haste and earned Akalamanaia a lot of money. It brought food to my food processing plant I had funded and he had also taken food via trucks to nearby Banwell and another town. For eyecandy we had expanded rivers inland. This period was less interesting. We basically just went for industries close to our lines. I expanded down to two farms in the East, while Akalamanaia built trains for his route. I also went into the Gold industry, from several goldmines to a single bank. This should make the town expand commercially so only Skyscrapers are built. After a while of sitting around and waiting for the money to roll in I had £40, and I was ahead on all fronts. Thenthe monorail came out. I built a small line between two towns. A few months later Akalamanaia told me he would have the first Monorail route, so I pointed him to my own monorail. He shouted Nooooooo! :D. He built a massively long Monorail route and put a train on it. By now I had found two Lumber mills by the coast and went to service them, although their origin is really conufusing as they were not there at the start, none of us funded th.em and the Game doesn't fund them.
